The fact that former India head coach Ravi Shastri loves to be in the spotlight doesn’t seem to be up for discussion. Ravi Shastri is returning in a series of video advertisements, this time for the online sports network FanCode. Shastri’s cadence and self-assured stance in the advertisement, in which he is featured promoting the highly anticipated India vs. West Indies series, are worth seeing.

Through a series of amusing exchanges between veteran cricketer Ravi Shastri and one of India’s foremost digital content creators, Ashish Chanchlani, FanCode shows the fan-first, attempting to cut features it will provide to empower fans in customizing their match experience.

Internet users were stunned by Shastri’s performance and language delivery as soon as the commercial went live online.

Shastri recently became the brand ambassador for FanCode, as he stated in the announcement: “I’m elated to join FanCode in this journey of democratizing sports for fans in India.” Nobody could help but notice how genuine Shastri appeared in those commercials with his beery demeanor and poker-faced responses. “Hidden talent out now Ravi Shastri,” one user tweeted.

Chanchlani has now hopped on board to support the brand’s fan-first strategy and its first-ever India tour on the platform. The partnership highlights Chanchlani’s development from a notable digital content developer to a well-known digital sports brand endorser.

In the meantime, India will tour the West Indies commencing on July 22 and will play five T20Is and three ODIs against them. As several senior players, including captain Rohit Sharma, were excused from the 50-overs series, Shikhar Dhawan will operate as the team’s skipper. Nevertheless, Rohit Sharma would resume leading the T20Is. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli missed the ODIs and was left off the team for the T20Is as well.
